¡¡¡¡The China's entry into WTO will surely promote the development of car in our country. Our car industry started quite late, but the annual production capability of various self-developed cars can reach over 1.30 million by importing technology. There are mainly 15 manufacturers such as Shanghai Volkswagen and Chang'an Auto car factories with the annual production capability of 300 thousand, First Auto Works, Volkswagen, Shanghai General Motor, Second Auto Works, Tianjin Xiali factories with the annual production capability of 150 thousand each, GuangzhouHonda has the annual production capability of about 50 thousand, Shanghai Qirui, China First Auto, Beijing Auto Company and Xi'an Qinchuan have the annual production capability of over 10 thousand each. In the recent years, the annual car sales volume in our country only accounts for half of the production capability, and the sales volume increases by 34% in 2002 over that in 2001, namely over 1 million vehicles. It is estimated that the annual demand for the vehicles will be 3.30 million by 2005 according to the related data, including 1.6 million cars, accounting for 48% of the vehicle demand in the same year. In view of the present sales situation and calculation, the technology of the car is developing toward the international advanced level. Due to the large price decrease of the imported cars, the domestic vehicle price will go down. Marketing promotion of cars by price cut will great increase the volume of auto sales. ª¥In view of the same industry, the manufacturers of series car air valveare Shandong Jinan Auto Spare Parts Factory, Shanghai Yidun Company and Guangzhou Huaiji Air Valve Factory, among which there is not a manufacturer with the annual output of air valve being over 4 million (refer to the attached table), and their production facilities are quite backward, low in production and poor in quality with decentralized process. Shandong Jinan Auto Spare Parts Factory and Shanghai Yidun Company imported the complete set of the second hand equipments from abroad, which doesn't result well. Only a few are working. The general-purpose gauge and special tester are employed in quality inspection of product instead of the comprehensive tester. ª¥
¡¡¡¡As the demand for series car air valves exceeds its supply, about 14.40 million valves are imported annually in our country, accounting for 51% of the total sales volume. The price of the imported air valves is quite high and the domestic air valves can completely meet the requirements. It is estimated that the demand for the air valves for the domestic car production and maintenance will reach 40 million by 2005 and 81 million by 2010. ª¥So, it is indeed a good opportunity to set up a series car air valve production line with high technical content for developing and producing the series car air valves, occupying the domestic market and speeding up the development.
