Different kinds of liquid infusion plastic packing vessels and the production combination ways are attracting the interest and attention of different liquid infusion manufacturers greatly. Compared with the glass bottles, the plastic vessels for liquid infusion have many unparalleled advantages, such as light weight, uneasy breakage, easy molding and suitable for different models design, which conforms to the demand for modern industrial production and safe clinical use, convenient use of medicine andconvenient transportation. The packing of liquid infusion with plastic vessels has become a kind of development tendency of liquid infusion packing in the world and also a hot topic and a popular investment field by liquid infusion manufacturers in our country. ª¤

¡¡¡¡Market:ª¥

¡¡¡¡In 2000, about 2.3 billion bottles of large liquid infusion bottles were produced in 392 pharmaceutical manufacturers in China and about 0.8-1 billion bottles were prepared in the agent preparation rooms of hospitals. That's to say, the total consumption of the large liquid infusion was about 3 billion bottles in 2000  in China. The actual output of the big liquid infusion plastic packs were about  65-70 million, accounting for 3£¥ of the output in the factories in the whole country. The big infusion liquid is an emergency medicine most in use with large demand in clinical use. The statistics shows that the average per capita consumption of big liquid infusion in the developed countries is 3 bottles per year. On the basis of this figure, it is estimated that our potential market for large infusion is about 3.5 billion bottles per year but our rural market for large infusion is basically not developed. According to the urban statistics, the average per capita consumption for large infusion is only about 1 bottle per year, which means that there remains a big market space in our country and the development of the large infusion industries has a wide market prospect.ª¥The infusion with soft plastic packs will replace infusion with the glass packing in the future and the situation of the market share by the glass packs and plastic packs half each will occur in the coming years. The plastic bottles will replace the glass bottles of common liquid infusion varieties while the liquid infusion with glass bottles will be developed toward the high-class curing liquid infusion. Compared with the same kinds of international products, the manufacturing quality of our liquid infusion bottles at present differs mainly in the material quality, light-weight, cleanliness, packing, transparency and uniformity. Asfar as the material quality of the glass bottle is concerned, the water resistance performance of its inner surface must meet the requirement of the grades HC1  and HC2 specified in GB12416.1. (equivalent to the standard ISO 4802)  according to the ¡°Medical Dictionary¡±. Two kinds of glass conforms to this requirement, one is the borate silicate glass with the 10%borax oxide content, called glass  type I for short, which has a remarkable chemical stability. But this kind of liquid infusion bottle can't be made yet at present in our country and only a fewmanufacturers can do in the world. The other one is the sodium-calcium-silicate  glass with its inner surface being treated, called glass type ¢ò for short, whose inner surface has a thin silicon-rich layer and that can function as the glass type ¢ñand is widely used in the world. Presently, 1£¯3 liquid infusion bottles in our country are made from glass with the borax oxide (B203) content about 2£¥, which is neither the glass type I nor the glass type ¢ò. The test proves that the water resistance performance of the glass type ¢ò is better than that of the glass which is neither the type I nor the type II. But the type II glass is de-alkalized only on its inner surface, similar to the type I glass when a very thin silicon-rich layer is formed on the inner surface. If the bottle is used repeatedly, its performance will be worsened due to its washing, filling and sterilizing. So, it is specified in the state standard GB2639 that the glass type II can be only used in the disposal liquid infusion.
