Cocation:
Yanguan port, located in the down area of Changde city, 2.3 km away from Yuanjiang River Bridge upward, near Yanguan Jitou downward, connecting with national highway 207, Shimen-Changsha Railway, Yuan'an Rood and Yuanjiang River with a very convenienttransportation.
Construction scale:
The total plan of Yanguan port construction includes 2 1000-tonnage berths for groceries and bulky goods each, 1 100-tounage berth for sand stones and special railway. The designed annual handling capacity is 2.93 million tons and the designed capacity for this stage is 753 thousand tons.
Pre-stage work:
The first and second stage engineering of this project have been approved by the state planning Commission, Ministry of Communications, Provincial Planning Commission and Dept of Communication and their land requisition has been completed. 1 300-tonnage berth and 2 500-tonnage berths have been put into operation. The principal part of 2 1000-tonnage berths has been completed, amounting to 31 million yuan. The main items to be constructed are the railway line, storage house, comprehensive building and warehouse.
Economic analysis:
⑴Social effect. The completion of the project will change the transportation structure, bring the advantage of railway-water coordinated transport into full play, strengthen the capability of containers and promote the economic growth of the northwestern Hunan and even the southwestern China.
⑵The total investment of the project is 10.50 million us dollars in its first stage and 6.75 million U.S dollars in its second stage. According to it feasibility report, its financial internal income rate 14.45% and its recovery period is 13.6 years.
