¡¡¡¡The total length of the provicial highway S302 from Huangqiao to Bianshanhe is 61 km and the average daily transport volume is 4900,which is an important channel to the north of Changjiang River and an important economic trunk line in our city.ª¥
¡¡¡¡As the Three Gorges Preject is completed and the West Development is initiated,the volume of traffic on this line will rise greatly.It has restrained the economic growth due to its low grade,traffic jam and frequent accidents.So its reconstruction is very urgent.
¡¡¡¡The engineering will start from Huangqiao of Lixian county,running through Daping,Jinluo,Zhakou,Huolianpo and Bianshanhe townships,and the construction standard is grade ¢ò,plain,hilly area,15 meters wide base,road surface width 2¡Á6 meters.The total investment is 39.27 million USD.ª¥
¡¡¡¡It is planned to start in 2005 and open to traffic in 2007.ª¤
¡¡¡¡Market:ª¥
¡¡¡¡Beneficial to tourism development.The reconstructed road runs through the Chengtoushan cultural remains and the distance to the Three Gorges Project,the national forest park and peach flower garden has been brought colser.ª¥
¡¡¡¡Insurance of the Three Gorges Project.A considerable portion of cement for the Three Gorges Project is transported on the line,about 30 500-thousand-ton cement filling vehicles per day.Due to the poor technical grade of road and poor bearing force,the transport mode of train or light filling vehicles has been used instead of the cement filling vehicles,but the progress of the Three Gorges Project is affected.And vehicles which carry the large equipment for the Project have to make a detour about 100 km through the national highway 207.Thus the transport cost for the Project is increased.ª¥
¡¡¡¡Lowering transport cost:about 4.85 million USD per year.ª¥
¡¡¡¡Beneficial to the local economic growth.ª¥
¡¡¡¡Jinluo township is an industrial town of mineral resource and a window of foreign economic exchanges in Lixian county.Lixian Railway Station is in the town.Reconstruction of the road will improve the railway transport capability,remove the bottle neck of the road transport from Lixian downtown to the railway station and speed up the local economic growth.

¡¡¡¡The reconstruction project is listed in the 11th Five-year Plan for road network reconstruction.Its registration is under process and will be completed in 2 years.ª¤
