¡¡¡¡The planting of magic fungus in Changde city started in 1890s and it and other medical or edible fungus have become an important industry in the rural economic growth and a major channel for farmer to increase income.
¡¡¡¡Number of bags: over 200 million bags of magic fungus and medical or edible fungus have been planted by Sept 2003.ª¥
¡¡¡¡Output.The output of magic fungus and other medical fungus in 2003 is 10000 tons,an increase of 31 percent than that of the previous year.Since 2004,their annual output will reach 10000-15000 tons.ª¥
¡¡¡¡The planting area of magic fungus and the output of magic fungus and medical or edible fungus in Changde account for 90 percent of Hunan province.
¡¡¡¡The industrialized pattern of the planting in scale,localized distribution and development on bases has been formed by taking Liyang Plain as the center,which can be expanded to other counties,districts or cities under Changde city.ª¥
¡¡¡¡The planting technology is advanced.The output of magic fungus from each bag is 40-60 grams and the non-inhabitation magic fungus takes a lead in China and the world.ª¥
¡¡¡¡The development technology of magic fungus series products is advanced.The magic fungus spore powder,bagged tea,crystal,superfine powder and slices have been developed one after another by Changde Yongchun Medical Fungus Institute and put into the market.ª¤
¡¡¡¡Development potential:
¡¡¡¡Rich raw materials for planting magic fungus and medical or edible fungus.About 500 million tons of agricultural by-produce (leftover bits and pieces) from the production area of grain,cotton,oil and forest in Changde will be produced.ª¥

¡¡¡¡The industry of magic fungus and medical fungus in Changde is growing very fast and Changde has become a key base for planting magic fungus and medical fungus in Hunan province.But the processing of magic fungus is not in scale.
¡¡¡¡The development of magic fungus deep processing,health and cosmetic products,and the extension of the industrial chain for magic fungus and medical or edible fungus can ensure the healthy development of magic fungus in Changde city and gain the support from the local government.ª¥
¡¡¡¡The demand for magic fungus products is very large.The total output of magic fungus in the world is 6000 tons and the sales amount of it is about 6 billion USD.
¡¡¡¡Presently,the development of magic fungus products in the domestic and foreign markets is in initial stage with great market potential.Especially the market in Europe,North America and South America is not opened up.
¡¡¡¡Many merchants at home and abroad in magic fungus have used the raw materials and products from Changde Yongchun Co.Ltd.ª¥
¡¡¡¡The income ratio of magic fungus.It planting accounts for 30 per cent,sales 30£¥and processing for export 40£¥,and the profit from marketing,processing and exporting is large.ª¥
¡¡¡¡After the project is completed,the magic fungus from farmers can be sold to the processing enterprise directly at a favorable price,or the enterprise and farmers can become an association of company plus base plus farments,expanding the profit margin and achieving two-wins.ª¤
¡¡¡¡Construction environment:ª¥
¡¡¡¡Changde has been given the honorable titles of National Hygiene City, National Gardening City, China Excellent Tourism City, National Civilization City and the National Excellent Transportation Control City by the state.ª¥Changde is in subtropical monsoon area with distinctive seasons, warm climate, plenty of sunshine and rainfall. The annual average temp is 16.5¡æ,the annual average rainfall is 1310 mm, the annual sunshine time is 1530-1870 hours and the frost-free period is about 270 days with the average relative humidity being 81%.
¡¡¡¡Changde city has become the largest energy base in Hunan province. The average price of power for industrial use is 0.47 yuan per KWH, 0.41 yuan per KWH for keyindustry, 0.17 yuan per KWH in low peak time. Establishment of power plant is encouraged.
¡¡¡¡Transportation: Changde city has been listed one of 60 pivotal cities, and is the only inland city that simultaneously has railway, expressway, airport and waterway.ª¥
